Students are ordered by risk score. Select one to see their full picture.

How risk levels are calculated
SignalWtTrigger
Mastery deficit2More than 8% below the cohort average
Overconfident answers2Wrong despite high confidence, 2+ questions
Very fast answers2Response time under 30% of the class median
Low video completion1Completion below 60%
High rewatch1Same segment rewatched 5+ times
Slow answers1Response time above the class median
Score = sum of triggered weights · high ≥ 4 · medium 2–3 · on track 0–1. Adjustable in the Threshold Configurator.

How mastery is calculated
Covers all quiz answers from videos in this course. Each answer is weighted by how recent it is — an answer from 90 days ago counts half as much as today's.
Score = Σ (quiz score × recency weight) / Σ (recency weight) · recency weight = 0.5 ^ (days since answered / 90)

Each entry stores a snapshot of the student's signals at the time it was logged.

Threshold Configurator

Faculty — Preset Access

Adjust when students are flagged for your attention and how mastery scores are color-coded. Changes are saved to your browser and apply immediately. All values use 0–1 for proportions (e.g. 0.75 = 75%) and whole numbers for counts.

Risk Alert Settings

These signals determine which students appear as Medium or High Risk on the Weekly Triage tab.

Mastery gap — flag students who score more than this far below the class average avg_mastery < avg_cohort_mastery − [value]
default 0.08
Video completion — flag students who completed less than this proportion of assigned videos completion < [value]
default 0.60
Overconfidence — flag students who answered incorrectly despite high confidence this many or more times wrong_but_confident ≥ [value]
default 2
Rewatch — flag students who replayed the same video this many or more times rewatch_count ≥ [value]
default 5
Unusually fast responses — flag if avg response time drops below this multiple of the class average (may signal AI-assisted answers) avg_latency < avg_cohort_latency × [value]
default 0.3×
Unusually slow responses — flag if avg response time exceeds this multiple of the class average (may signal test anxiety) avg_latency > avg_cohort_latency × [value]
default 2.0×
AI tutor use — flag students who asked the AI tutor this many or more questions ai_questions ≥ [value]
default 6
Exam Pass Rate

The minimum score a student must reach to be counted as passing an exam. Shown in the Exam Overview of Content Intelligence.

Pass rate — students at or above this score are considered passing
default 0.75
Score Color Thresholds

Controls the color bands applied to all percentage scores in the dashboard — Mastery, Quiz Accuracy, Exam Average, and Completion.

Green — score is at or above this value
default 0.75
Yellow — score is below the green threshold but at or above this value
default 0.55
Confidence Classification (uses mock data in prototype)

Determines when a student is labeled as overconfident or underconfident in the Student Drawer. Confidence is rated 1–4 after each question.

Overconfident —confidence rating at or above (1–4 scale) confidence_score ≥ [value]
default 3
Overconfident —and accuracy below accuracy < [value]
default 0.60
Underconfident —confidence rating at or below (1–4 scale) confidence_score < [value]
default 2
Underconfident —and accuracy at or above accuracy ≥ [value]
default 0.70
Response Speed Indicators

Controls the ↑ and ↓ arrows shown in the Student Drawer. Compares each student's avg response time to the class average.

↑ Show slow arrow when student's response time is longer than the class average by this multiple avg_tta / avg_cohort_tta > [value]
default 1.5×
↓ Show fast arrow when student's response time is shorter than the class average by this multiple avg_tta / avg_cohort_tta < [value]
default 0.5×
